in November of 1977, Industrial Transport began as a truckload
carrier for the Ford Motor Company, Westinghouse, ALCOA, Campbell
Soup, General Electric, and General Motors
In the
late 1970s, the company added switching services for Ford,
In 1985,
the company consolidated its truckload, courier, and contract
personnel divisions into what is now known as Industrial Transport.
In the
1990s, the company added switching service for DaimlerChrysler
and General Motors.
Today,
the company offers premium yard management services, including Trailer Yard
Security and e-Freight Valet.
